1930's windshield frames, one New takeoff to what?

I have 3 old windshield frames that I just got out of the attic of a Mopar dealership that was in business since the 1930's. The biggest is a Ford one according to the sticker on the widshield on vehicle operation for new cars. Possibly model A truck?

It's measurements are 43 and 9/16 wide at teh top by 17 and 1/4 inches high to the top of the hinge. It has the Ford new Car and Truck operation sticker still on it. This one is in super nice shape with just the tiniest bit of surface rust.

These all seem to be for closed cars as they have the hinge across the top.

The first of the other 2 is marked number 1. It is 42 and 1/16 wide at the top and 13 and 11/16 tall to the top of the hinge.

Windshield number 2 is 42 and 1/8 inches wide across the top and 12 and 3/16 inches tall. The hinge is wider and measures 42 and 5/8. Bothe of these 2 number 1 and 2 are the same design and probably the same vintage. They both have some surface rust but the hinges still work well. They are for sale if you need them, but I would like to ID them first.

That first one is almost certainly for an early Model A truck. The muscle power wiper was carried over from the T on the trucks while cars got electric in 28-29 and vacuum in 30-31. The windshield should be the same for all closed straight window Model As and there's always people looking for good ones. Worth $200 or more if the glass is good and the bottom isn't wasted . I don't know about the other two.

The picture at the very bottom showing the close up of the window opening arm is exactly the same as my 29 Hudson. Can you meassure the glass for me at the 3 key points, width, tallest hight, smallest hight

It may be 28 hudson as well.

If the glass meassurements check out i will be interessted

There is no rot on the Model A one. The fact that it still has the factory instruction sticker kind of tells you the shape it's in. It barely has any surface rust anywheres. I would say it's very close to NOSThe glass is super nice except for some very faint scuffing where the wiper rides. Probably everybody over the years worked the wiper when it was still in the dealership with a bunch of dust on it. The wiper blade was actually melted to the windshield when I got it.

I'll have to measure the other frames glass.

Thanks for the help, Randy

Without a Model A or T truck to measure, the wording on the sticker would make me suspect it was for a Model T instead of a Model A. Model A body styles did not include "Touring" or "Runabout". I think that both of those were Body Style designations for Model T's.

question, hope you can help, i purchased a windshield same size as your "ford" one. i went to put it in my 28 ford AA and found it to be 1.5 inches too tall, and 2 inches too narrow. did you ever find a buyer for this windshield and if i might ask for WHAT application. this would help me so i can sell mine and offer some model year info. i was certain my window was a ford it said 28-29 ford on window with a black marker. thanks in advance, please email me kevin
