#3 if I or you have a schematic of the set you are having problems with chances are I can fix it. I would ask that you please pay postage both ways and if I cannot repair the set you will not be charged any amount of money for diagnosis or labor. this is a hobby of mine and a great way to help other people in the hobby.

Hi, I am interested in some parts for a spare set, but am not sure how to test which tubes or vibrators are bad. How can I do this?

Sorry but without the proper test equipment there is no way to tell if your tubes or vibrator is bad unless the tube glass is broken or shows a heavy burn mark inside the glass.

White powder in the tube glass is a dead giveaway but otherwise the tubes need testing and also it could have bad caps or other parts.
