Timing chain ID needed

Hi Layden,

I can't tell you what the chain fits but they were known as "silent chains". This one appears to be a "The Coventry" brand, an English patent eventually amalgamating with Morse I believe. If you have a close look at the side guide plates, the name will possibly be there. This chain has side guides, some had a single guide in the center.

Many manufacturers used this type of chain for cam, mag and generator drives and they didn't require a tensioner. They remained in use common use from the teens right through to 60's but have been replaced by roller chains today. Other brands I can think of are LinkBelt, Morse and Renolds I think.
