nzcarnerd
1929 Hupmobile 8 as far as I can work out. The body mouldings and bumpers match. 1929 Hupmobile There is a small pic here - http://nascar.speedtv.com/article/autos-mystery-of-the-gauges-solved/ which shows the Hup type of wood wheels. Guest Al Brass
I would go with a '29 Hupmobile Century 6 but I am concerned about the bumper. The Hupp bodies were Murray so it may be something else.Al Edited September 1, 2011 by Al Brass (see edit history)
nzcarnerd
Al, your pic looks to be an NZ car and may not have a US type bumper. Check the link I put up, you will see the rear bumper with the gap in the middle between the two bars. I reckon this car is an 8 on the longest wheelbase - 130" maybe? Guest Al Brass
Hi NZCarnerd,Yeah, sold new in Christchurch and now owned by my sister and bro-in-law in Invercargill. I think you'll find the bumpers are the same for every Century 6 market but it may very well be an 8 bumper/car. Al
