Guest scochrane
My grandfather took a trip through the mid-west in 1925 in this vehicle. Any ideas what it is? My husband and I took the same trip last summer, and I'm writing about it--would love to know the make and any other information about this car! Guest scochrane
Thanks for turning the photo around--didn't know how to do that. What about a Maxwell--a 1916 family letter talks about getting a new Maxwell...
Guest Tarheel
The car may be a 1922 Maxwell. This is a copy of a 1922 advertisement. The cowl with the cowl light and the wheels look the same.File:MaxwellAuto.jpg - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
keiser31
The belt molding under the windshield is different than on a Maxwell. I think it may be a Star car.
nzcarnerd
It is not a Star as they only had four bolts on the wheels. Maxwells of that era were almost all on disc wheels. I think it is a 1923 Buick.

Leif Holmberg
Yes it very much looks like 1923 Buick but the hub cap and hub don`t looks Buick, this type of hub cap with a "tumour"came in 1927-1928 on Buicks hub caps. The cowl light don`t look Buick either, maybe the car is a Cadillac arond 1923?. Dave the rear door on the passenger side is open. Leif in Sweden.
Dave Mellor NJ
I Know that, Lief, that's how you know there's no roll on the other running board. I don't know why he would do it that way.
