motoringicons
Deposit Received. Sale pending. 11.1.2011This rare 1927 Star (made by Durant) Model K Landau sedan was just removed from long term storage and is in very nice original condition. It was formerly part of the Mayor Coleman Young estate and was used as one of his parade cars during his (in)famous reign over Detroit. The dark blue paint appears original and well preserved. The gray upholstery appears largely original and also well preserved. The top material, etc appears in good original condition. The body is very straight and solid with good door fit, good alignment, straight fenders, good inner body wood, etc. The six cylinder engine runs and the car drives, but it will need to be fully serviced as it has not been used in years. An unusual and rare car that could be serviced and used as it is. I think it is too nice to restore. A neat, old nickel-era car with a fun history. 9,500.00. Located near Ann Arbor, MI.
