what year clock ?

That's one of the years I was thinking of, too. Here is a poor shot of a '36 dash. Looks like the clock would match the speedometer in size, and be completely round. And the numbers would probably match those on the speedometer, too.

You know, you'd think with the wonders of the internet, you'd have an easier time finding pictures of a '35 Olds dashboard...

We must be getting warm at 1934. GM liked to put logos in the clock center in 33, 34 as depicted at this web site: (lacking pre 35 Olds) Clocks Page 1 - Identifying Instrument Panels, Clusters & Gauges

I'd say your clock looks art deco. '29 Oldsmobiles had a rather Victorian looking dashboard. Not only do I think it would look out of place, but where would they put it?

The dashboard of a '34. Again, that clock would look out of place, and I don't know where they would install it.

And a very similar '33.

Now here's what I've been looking for for days - a '32 dashboard. Notice the background of the guages. Notice the font on the numbers. Notice the shape of the speedometer needle. Notice the blank in the center with the Oldsmobile emblem recessed. I think that clock should live here, but I don't understand why the bezel is flat on the top and the bottom.

UNLESS...

You don't see the entire bezel - just the round part...

The bezel is only flat on the top and bottom BEHIND the dashboard. Just the thin chrome ring comes through the dash.

That clock site link was very good. Further down they had a gauge cluster category and this 36 Olds dash showed up with the acorn on the glove box, I thought it was the clock in question missing the hands

I previously tried to get this Olds Dash panel/gauge cluster identified. I'd like to try again while i have Oldsfan on the line. Can you help me?

That is from a '30. I was looking for a suitable photo last night and couldn't find one. I've got a photo in a book, but I can't get it on my scanner.

Thanks Paul. Telling me it's a 30 is good enough. It was suggested tha it might be a 33 as the general shape is like a 33 Chevy but I could see by your picture it definitely wasn't.

Indicators now point to 1932 for the logo'd clock in 1st photo in this string.

These two pics are from the Olds 1897-66 forum "36 Olds info. One shows the 36 clock as above, the other shows a clock delete,I guess in the clock hole with the acorn

I know this is an old post, I have a 32 olds, without the clock, but this is the spot it goes in, the reason for the flat spots are, if it was round it would not fit, because of the dash light and top of panel
