Dave Mellor NJ
I think this is a Nash grille from the early 50s, Can anybody confirm or deny?
PONTIAC1953
hi dave, both of your pictures were of the backside of the grill, but it looks like it is a 1952-1953 nash grill. charles coker, 1953 pontiac tech advisor.
Dave Mellor NJ
Thanks,Charles. Click on the attached image for the front view. I don't know why but when I post multiple thumbnails, invariably one ends up a click-on.
keiser31
I don't think that it is from a Nash or Rambler.....it's WAY too flimsy for that application. I'm thinking foreign car.
Dave Mellor NJ
Right again, John but I needed the suggestion from Charles to look it up
BasilFawlty
I run another car-related forum (I won't pimp it here) and one of our members is trying to ID what appears to be the same grill found in his deceased grandfather's barn. I stumbled on a picture of a car that appears to have a very similar grill, but without the center medallion holder. Otherwise, the grill on this car seems to be the right shape and have about the right number of ribs, plus it has the thick areas on either side. Problem is, I can't tell what kind of car this is. Can anyone ID this car, which may lead to identifying the grill in question?
Dave Mellor NJ
I recognized this car as an Anglia about a 1958. That led me to look for similar cars like the Prefect and the Thames which I think is the truck version. Good work,Basil.
