Jolly_John
Hi, Mike. It sounds like you're enjoying your big Buick. That's great. Love to see you using those part numbers, too!A question: Is your current hinge damaged in such a way that you can't simply put in a new bushing and pin kit? This kit is readily available. Best, John
FLYER15015
John,Yes I know, it is all thanks to your prodding....Re the hinge, The male portion (that fits into the door) is really "wallered out", so that when the door is open all the way (90 degrees to the body), I can lift the door up a couple of inches @ the outside, and it is "paper thin". Really needs to be replaced. If I cannot find a good one, I'll pull mine out, weld it up solid, and redrill it. That should last another 70 years.Best regards,Mike
