Guest ssrock64
Does anyone know the rules regarding plates that are from the same year as the manufacture of the vehicle in the state of Wisconsin?
Richard Lichtfel
I don't believe original plates are allowed in Wisconsin. They were considering it a few years ago but I never heard that it was passed. I tried calling the DOT but they do not have a phone listing. Their address is:Wi. BadgerRivFan
No, unfortunately you cannot use plates from your vehicle's year of manufacture on a collector car in Wisconsin. Collector plates are very reasonable however as long as you have another daily use vehicle also registered. There is a one-time fee of $150 for collector plates (vehicle must be 20 years old or older) that are essentially good forever. No annual renewal fees...
