Hi I bought 1949 Dodoge Corornet about 4 years back Been in storage, need to drive and move. Need to check trans oil. Was told what fluid to use but cannot find notes? Any info on trans fluid to use in gearbox and torque converter? Its a fluid drive trans

TDH tractor oil, ISO 32 grade. Made for tractor transmissions, differentials and hydraulics. From auto parts stores, farm supply stores or Walmart.

There are some real good threads on this tranny if you do a search for Fluid Drive on the Chrysler and Dodge boards. About 2 years ago there were some real in depth discussions on the operation care and repair, well worth looking up.

Your car does not have a torque converter-just a fluid coupling that looks like a torque converter with a clutch pressure plate and disc attached to it. It's called the "Fluid Drive" coupling. Use the TDH fluid in both.
