Guest sintid58
What years Dynaflows will fit in my 55 Special without a lot of modifications.
Leif Holmberg
I think you can use a Dynaflow from 1954 or 1955 Special or Century.Of some reasen Super and Roadmaster:s Dynaflow are shorter??.You can`t use 1956 becuse there are a much more splines on the rear end. Please tell me if I`m wrong. MrEarl
Although they "may" "fit" you don't want to back up to a '54. 54's don't have the kick down (passing gear) stators and I'm pretty sure a 56 has an aluminum bellhousing and the complete unit is longer than a 55. The 54 Special Dynaflows had different flex plates and less stators than the other series. To keep it simple I'd just be on the look out for another 55 Special set up. Century maybe. Did you get the list of possibles I emailed you. and I have two in parts cars but no idea of condition. the fluicd is nice and red and clean in one but no idea if it was running when parked.
