Welcome Josh and Adam. Glad you dropped in. Looking forward to participating with ya. As always, pictures are fun, and hope you'll consider joining the BCA. Adam, in the first week of August there will be a BCA Regional Meet in Minnesota. It would be a good opportunity to take a look at some 55's.

...what is the Great River Road

Sure thing, it's a road that follows down and skips across the Mississippi river starting around Hastings, MN I believe and I've been wanting to ride from there south for a day or something to go thru all the bluffs. I've seen some of it from on the river and can only imagine how amazing it would look from the scenic road.

Hello, I'm Adam and have been obsessed with finding a 1955 4 door hardtop Buick for the last two years. I live in the rust belt capital it seems, so my search has been across the US and leaving me to find a car that seems to be close to the cost of getting it home.

I like to ride sport bike (currentlly a Honda '98 VFR800), offroad trail riding with the 400EX when I can and the rest of my time is spent at work or with my young family.

It's a tease to want one of these land yachts, as I'm sure getting one road ready can be almost as costlly as aquiring it. I hope to learn from you folks and maybe get to pull the trigger sooner than later and get my girls in a car to remember like my dad did with his 1962 Sedan Deville.

Hi Adam, welcome! You'll find lots of knowledgable people on this forum.

Check out this 55 four door HT in Idaho:

Hello everyone my name is Pat, last summer I became the owner of a 1970 GS convertible, trying to make contact with others who appreciate the excitement owning such a car creates, and forums to ask questions on, I joined the northeast Ohio group as well, hope to meet some of you, Pat

HI Mike, I have been hanging around over on the Olds section for some time but just recently walked onto a 50 Buick and need to solicit some help in determining the value of the same. Don't really know much about the older Buicks but sure I will get enlightened shortly!

Guest 63Special

Hi, I'm just a normal guy with a wife, 2 daughters in college and a 63 Buick Special, 64 Mercury Comet Caliente - only 52K miles, 78 Eldorado - with only 21K miles, 65 Mustang - (the wife's car) and my latest, a 1937 Packard Six Touring Sedan. Looking forward to chatting with you all about my Buick and other cars. My 63 Special is really hard to find parts for, and help with that would be appreciated.

Greetings Dennis, welcome to this Forum. What model Buick do you have? Pictures are always appreciated and ogled. How about starting a thread in the Me and My Buick Forum here, so we can find out what parts you need?

Hello to all, my name is Steve I love the old car hobby. I cannot remember if I have every introduced myself so here it is. I now have time for my projects with the kids out of the house. I have been looking around on this site and I am impressed with the cars and projects. I look forward to driving my projects; I try to add about 2K miles a year in my one car, which is complete. I now have the floor cut out of my 53 Buick, floor braces repaired and going the other way. I will post a few photos when I figure out how.

post-100837-143142522469_thumb.jpgHello everyone! My name is Elise, and I just purchased a 1937 Buick Century. I live in Las Vegas. My fiancé has a Cobra kit car and I bought this so that I would have my own car to take to the cruises and car and coffee outings. The car seems to be in amazing shape. I do not plan a complete restoration as I really appreciate the condition she is in now.

Howdy all! Due to my lousy health, I've recently found myself at a point where I can no longer perform major restorations, so I sold my muscle car projects and parts and found a Buick special survivor from Mexico to drive and play with. She's been loved but needs some experienced care now, and I'm just the one to do it. Thanks for adding me to your forum, I'll need some help with this old girl..

Hello,

My name is Jason, my wife and I have just acquired a 1957 Buick Century 4dr Hardtop. It was my father in-laws, and he passed away 12 years ago. The car was just sitting in a shed collecting dust. So I brought it out of hibernation, and polished it up, and we are loving it! It is in near mint condition and it only has a few things that need to be done to it before we can take it on a long road trip. We are planning on coming to Portland to take in the 2014 Buick event. I have been reading this forum for awhile now, and look forward to participating it in too.

Hello everyone,I'm Jason from New Zealand but currently living in the U.K...I am in the process of restoring a 1946 Buick super 2dr fastback and have been browsing this site for years but only just joined up...Buick's of my kind are quite rare over here ( or everyone's got them hidden away) so am looking forward to mine being out there as a daily driver ! The American car scene over here is slowly growing but still nothing like back home or Australia...surprising really as whenever I'm out in my 58 chevy or 65 Oldsmobile draws a lot of attention and thumbs up!

Hello everyone

My name is Allan

I have been trolling around your forums for about 6 months now reading up on the wealth of info you have graced the internet with. I work in the Antique Automobile restoration and maintenance field and have done so since 1998. I look forward to getting to know some of you in the future. And maybe getting the opportunity to share some of my knowledge.

Guest RivinitUP

Howdy Folks, I just joined this forum recently and also took some advice and joined the riviera assocation, both have been very informative. I'm a newbie, just starting my first restoration project, I live just outside of Toronto, Ontario Canada in a GM town called Oshawa. I recently picked up a 64 Riv originally from California, from a guy here who imported it about 12 years ago to restore. My friends are hard-core classic car restorers and will be helping me with the build. I have always loved the style of these cars, so I'm pretty excited. I figured its about time I bought one for myself. I found a complete parts car that we are going to take a look at tommorow if everything goes according to plan, I might own 2 rivs by days end.heheh. I will report and let you know how I make out. It sounds like there are a lot of good and knowledgeable guys on here, so its a pleasure to virtually meet you all.
