Motorola Model 501 radio fits?

That is not the one. I think the one my buddy has is 1940's. I am getting photos sent to me that I will post here. I guess that if I had been thinking right, I would have posted this in the "what is it" forum. D'oh!

This is a pure guess. I think it may be an aftermarket setup. The speaker case looks to have holes for a mounting bracket, the knobs seem to be able to position in various configurations, and with diferent face plate surrounds it might have been able to fit various cars with verticle dials such as late 40's

Dodge, and early 50's Chevy, etc.

I have one of those Motorola 501 radio's and head unit, it lights up but not sure it plays sound...

Just wondering what it is worth ??

A Motorola 501 radio is an aftermarket radio designed to be installed in any car with the appropriate Motorola control head. I say the value is in the $50 to $100 range. Since it is not a rare OEM radio.
