Need 50's ladies gloves and hat

I e-mailed you last night, but you guys are probably having too much fun on the road to check your e-mail. We have gloves, looking for a hat and will advise later. Unless you already have a provider of same lined up. Let me know if you do.

John, been to antique shops this morning and found neither, so YEA please see what you can find.

Wife and daughter are working on making a hat:eek:...as back up...just in case nothing else comes up.

Gloves OK but I`m not sure how you are going to look in a hat.

Well after about the 5th antique shop I stopped at between home and Ames, I found what I was looking for. John Scheib and his wife did bring a very nice hat and pair of gloves but the hat was so delicate I was afraid to use it. This straw one worked fine and held up to quite a number of photo poses of which my favorite is shown below. :eek:

btw, the girls gave up on trying to make one. And I spent 3 hours into the night making what came out looking like a cross between the flying nuns habit and a skullcap. I have a new respect for them fashion designer guys.
