sambarn
I am trying to dial in the brakes on a 34 Chevy Master Sedan and am having issues with one of the front wheels. When adjusted to match the other front wheel, the driver's side brake responds slower and brakes less effectively than the passenger side. This is apparent both driving and when up on stands. When the brakes are activated I can observe a decent amount of flex in the driver's side brake rod that I do not see occurring in the passenger side. I believe that this is why I have less brake response on the drivers side but why is this happening and do I just need to replace the rods on that side? Is this common and should I expect this to eventually occcur on the passenger side as well? Should I just try to machine these - they look simple enough or look for replacements from a vendor? Thanks for your help.
