Not necessarily. On my truck it was running hot and had coolant/water leaking around the water pump seals. When I went to the 50/50 antifreeze mix it stopped running hot and the water pump seals stopped leaking. The only reason that i could see it boiling out is if there is a problem in the cooling system. Remember when those cars were new they used alcohol as antifreeze.

Remember if you do use anti freeze to use the concentrate type because your 50/50 solution should be mixed with distilled water to control mineral build up.

Hi thanks for the tips. One more ????.. My Radiator cap has a hole in it.. Should I use this cap or should the cooling system be pressurized? thanks again.....
