bobj49f2
I posted this in the Cadillac forum before I noticed this forum but here I go again. My 37 Buick had this heater inside. From the people who replied from the other boards it seems to be a Cadillac unit but I don't know what year. I search the net and eBay didn't find a Caddy that had a unit that looked like this. Thanks for any help.
drwatson
I have a similar heater with a "F"irestone logo. It's likely an aftermarket offering. I'm still curious, your V8 logo looks like orig. GM.
bobj49f2
Your heater does look a lot like the one I have. The V8 logos I thought were Ford because I found a picture of a '40 Ford that had a very similiar logo but I have since been told it's a Cadillac unit. When I checked Cadillac I found the logo used in the late '30s, early '40s looks indentical. I would like to find out what year it belongs to. The "F" heaters are most likely Firestone units, I think I was told they were sold by Montgomery Wards. Since yours looks so much like mine I'd bet some one made them and either Cadillac or Montgomery Wards private labeled them.
Guest bobscads
It is NOT Cadillac! HTH, Bob
keiser31
I would think that it would be V8 Lincoln or Ford since Ford and Firestone were such cohorts.
