hddennis
Look up 1936 Dodge convertible sedan. Had one back in the 90's. At that time there were 14 known survivors. It was a Chrysler body on a Dodge chassis and they lost money on every one sold. The bean counters killed production at 750.Howard Dennis

keiser31
Interesting that they make a toy of such a low production Dodge such as the convertible sedan...I used to own the black touring sedan in the photo.

john2dameron
The car dlensky photoed in Charlotte looks like the very same one that was at Gettysburg in May. It was beautiful. I'd post some photos but I hate to go through the necessary routine to post photos here.
West Peterson
The car in question also looks to have a split windshield.
keiser31
The car in question also looks to have a split windshield. It DOES look to have an incorrect split windshield. Or maybe the correct windshield with a vertical center bar added. It may be a custom car since no Dodge of that era had a split windshield. A photo of the car outside or with more light may determine if this has a custom/European body on it. It also has the incorrect set of wings on the grille. DLynskey
I'm not sure if you're looking at the Dodge or the Volvo, but I believe both have flat single piece windshields. The paper information sheets are displayed in the windshields and I think that's what makes it look like a split windshield in the photos (resolution reduced for posting on the forum).Don
DLynskey
Pardon the double post, but disregard my last previous entry -- for some reason I can't edit my posts here. On rereading the previous entries I see they refer to the car that started this thread -- confusion on my part. Yes, that car does appear to have a split windshield.Don
