Guest Dean_H.
Old carb found on the beach. Some of the beaches here Central CA were used as garbage dumps during the first half of the last century. When storms pass, the high surf sometimes erodes the sand enough to expose stuff. Last night during low tide my wife and I went out with metal detectors looking for old coins and found this carburetor instead. Looks like the patn. date is '08. Just curious if anyone might know what it came from. The fuel bowl is about 2 1/4 inches in diameter and about 2 1/2 inches high.I didn't look it up, but to me, it looks like they miss spelled carburetor. ??? CarlLaFong
Hendee Mfg. It's from an Indian M/C. It's, what is referred to as, a "soup can" carb. It is quite old, pre teens I think. Nice garage ornamant Edited November 21, 2009 by 58Mustang (see edit history)
