Bellhousing ID please

not sure if this is marine or ???

We have had this knocking around the garage for at least 10 years

part number appears to be 37132420 (or 9? or 8?) B

Note that there are only bolt holes on what appears to be the bottom half, so this would seem to rule out a transmission bolting to it. While you do no show the measurement, it appears to shallow to be for an automotive or power unit application. Your assumption on a marine application may be correct (though I would not know a marine bellhousing or even if such a creature exists).

It's the adapter housing between the motor and bellhousing for a model A. I wonder if maybe a generator maybe doesn't mount to it or a welder?

What "model A" are you talking about?

If you are talking about a Model A Ford, that looks similar, but not the same to a Model A Ford Flywheel housing. The Model A Ford Flywheel housing is part # A6395.... and that is not it.

this is an aluminum housing if that helps

my 1928 Model A had a cast iron bell housing

although it MAY be some sort of aftermarket bellhousing / adapter for a Model A Ford

I wasn't clear in my first responce I guess. I think it is a after market adapter for a model a ford motor to a portable welder or a pump. I had one years ago that was a welder and it looks real similar to it. Hope this helps. Daryl
