STAYGOLD
This is a 1920's era Perfection Heater....I believe it's an accessory part, but I do not know what vehicles it will work with...any ideas? There are patent dates on the tag ranging from 1907 thru 1922.The part was manufactured in Cleveland, Ohio and it measures 26" long by 7" wide. The tag also lists that it is Type "GB" and No. "415611"Any help or information would be appreciated.Thanks. Layden B
As an accessory aftermarket piece it will work on just about any car or truck. There originally was a special exhaust cutout that went with this ( flexable tubing and cutout control too) as this uses the engine hot exhaust to be the heat source. unimogjohn
and when they rusted out or cracked, it let in exhaust. They went out of favor by the early 20s.
STAYGOLD
Thanks for the information. I suppose it wouldn't be very pleasant breathing in all that exhaust once these were rusted out.

Dodge1934
talked to a chap who had one in his can and he commented that when they wer e used they would certainly heat you out of the car... My understanding is that these were for heating in the back seat area of the car.. often in closed cars

jan arnett (2)
They didn't stop using them in the 20's. VW had them in the sixties and they still had the same problem.
