keiser31
#3 looks to be a set of top bow clamps for a touring car or roadster.
DaveAspi
Top bow clamps? What are they used for, and where do the go? They were the trunk of my 23-4-39 Roadster. Thanks, Dave
Dave_B
#7 looks like a condenser.Dave
keiser31
I believe they clamp the top bows together (one clamp per side) when the top is down and the bows are folded back. Each one will hold a few bows on each side, together. Here is one hanging off of this roadster. The bows sort of fall into the pockets and you clamp (some have leather) them together. Some were removable. Edited October 5, 2009 by keiser31 (see edit history)
DaveAspi
I thought #7 looked like a condenser, but it has an adjustable nut on it...?
DaveAspi
Ah- they hold the top bows in place when the top is down- that looks about right. I will check it out and post the results,Thanks
keiser31
I thought #7 looked like a condenser, but it has an adjustable nut on it...? That could be where the wire connects!!?
keiser31
#2 looks like a rear view mirror holder clamp that clamps onto a tubular shaped windshield. #4 does look an awful lot like a primitive roadster windshield wiper. Mmmm...lot of top and windshield parts...
keiser31
#6 looks to me like a top bow pivot/base bracket.
Leif Holmberg
The bolt below on first photo will fit on the top bowl brackets, one on each side of the car.I think that photo no 2 is one of four brackets for front windshield wind wings.No.4 looks "home made"to me. Leif Holmberg
No.6 inside the distrubutor, condensator,I not sure but maybe a bracket for foot rest. But in that case it`s not for a roadster I think. hddennis
Since nobody went for #5 I'll take it. It is a set of muffler shims for reducing the i.d. of a muffler or for increasing the o.d. of a pipe. O.K., I'm ready for the muffler bearings jokes.Howard Dennis
