Reward of $10.00 Each To Anyone Who Can ID These Shock Numbers!!!!!!!!!!

<TABLE id=post613017 class=tborder2 border=0 cellSpacing=1 cellPadding=6 width="100%" align=center><TBODY><TR vAlign=top><TD id=td_post_613017 class=alt3>Here are the numbers stamped on the end caps of the Delco Knee Action Shocks #1723F,1723G,1723H,1723M,1723N,1723P,1723U,1404AA,1404BA,1438A. Does any one have a book or know the use of these numbers, or maybe you could check the numbers on the end caps of the shocks on your car. There was a Nash parts tag on one of the 1700 series shocks. A shock rebuilder said they may have been used by Nash for exported models to Europe but he was not sure. I checked my Hollander's 1920's to 1948....There are numbers close, but not the numbers you are looking for. Sorry that did not work.

1723U fits International Harvester. Their part number is 104435-H. Unfortunately, my book doesn't state which model or year(s) they fit, just that they're IH. The manual I have does show other 1700 series numbers for 1937-42 models so it's a good guess that 1723U falls into that year range.

By the way, in 1950 when my Delco shock list was published, they listed for all of $6.39 each!

Looked at the 40-49 catalog and did not see any more for Nash. Borowwed and still owe my buddy for our Hershey spaces OUCH.... OUCH.... OUCH....! Were you serious about the finders fee
