Hi Folks,

<O:p</O:p

We have had an enquiry concerning a possible 1906 Dixi U35. The attached photo has an inset from another worse photo showing the rad area. The photos we have of early Dixis (Dixi-i?) have curved radiator and bonnet. Photo shows a very profiled radiator and bonnet. Two of our guys feel it could be a De Dietrich or a Lorraine-Dietrich, or remotely, a or Delaugère-Clayette. Does anybody have any books on specific early German cars showing 1906 - 1910 Dixis, with very profiled radiator and bonnet?? Some of our Continental scribes have mentioned having German books. Dixis were sold in UK as Leander and in France as Regina. In 1928 Dixi was purchased by BMW.

Kind regards

Wow! Thanks for your kind info. I will pass on to our Enquirer. From your photo it can be said that his car is not a U35. Bonnet and radiator entirely different, straight levers, and shaft drive, just for starters. If you have access to any other Dixi photos, does his car look like any of them??

With thanks and regards
