1958 Oldsmobile Fiesta wagon

I saw the remains of a 1958 Oldsmobile Fiesta wagon the other day. It had something still installed on one of the fire walls. I don't have any idea what this is other than perhaps some sort of heater. It appears to have had water circulating through it and some thing like an extended spark plug in the top of it. Perhaps an extra heater because of the station wagon?

A gas fired heater. Looks like someone hooked it up to help get the car going in a cold climit. I've heard that these were a good heater unless they misfired. Dandy Dave!

Corvairs had something similar that mounted in the trunk in front on the passenger side. No water though, just hot air.

Where did you find this "58" olds wagon ? I need some parts for my "57" and I believe they share many of the same components.

As I said I have a 1957 Olds Fiesta J2 wagon, It is 99% complete but missing a few pieces off the tailgate and rear window hatch lid.

Parts needed:

: torsion springs for hatch lift hinge

: casing, cap, springs and shoes (top center tailgate strike assembly)

: escutcheon (screw on bezel) for tailgate push button lock

: Set of original power window switch assemblies
