Guest scarab51
Hello, I just dig this out of a batch of odd parts that has been in my shed for years. It is 19 1/2 inches long, and it looks like came off the trunklid of a 1940's thru 1950s era US car.The plastic lens of the license plate light is marked "PLYAH", so I suspect it is Plymouth. Can anybody out there confirm this, and let me know what year? Thanks, Doug[/ATTACH]
Dave@Moon
It looks like both the 1950 and 1951 units, which I think are the same. Someone who knows these cars better, or who has a parts book, should be able to tell more. It was changed for 1952 (almost the only thing that was). 1950 Plymouth1951 Plymouth Edited August 12, 2009 by Dave@Moon expanded, added top lines (see edit history)
Guest scarab51
Dear Dave, Thank you for the fast response! Yes, it looks like the ones in your pictures. Not much changed on US cars in 1950-51, probably due to the Korean War. That 1950 fastback 2 door is in nice condition. Is it yours?Sincerelyy,Doug
