1926 Standard Six Wood Floor

Recommended Posts

Hello All

I am to the point, on my project Stu, of putting in the wooden floor. My problem is that I don't know how the door that lets you remove and replace the battery goes in. My Stu was missing 95% of the wood when I got her. It was all rotted out.

Does any one have any pictures of a floor board that can start me in the right direction? I have manuals for Her but they do not show anything that I can use for direction.

I appreciate any help you guys can provide.

Thanks

Ken GASCH

On my Rockne, the battery cover is plywood cut to fit the hole in the floor.

On opposite sides of the cover there are sheet metal wings attached with flat head screws. these wings are intended to keeep the cover from falling into the hole.

A small finger hole in the cover permits easy removal.

I don't know if this is the original way Stude did it but it seems like a practical solution.
