Guest Commodore
I believe the rock in the background is Eagle Rock from which the city of Eagle Rock California gets its name. Here is picture of the rock today.
Ivan Saxton
Corresponds closely to Locomobile Junior 8, (which had about 3 litre pushrod ohv engine with two heads, separate gearbox and open flywheel, and rubber spring mountings like Chrysler.)Ivan Saxton

Ivan Saxton
You may well be right, though the similarities are pretty close. Locomobile has 30 louvres on the bonnet sides, which seems more than in the photo. Body, headlamps, wheels and fenders are exact match; but I have never seen a radiator badge or good picture of one of either car.
keiser31
Here are the early Nash emblems......a perfect match to the one on the car in question.

drwatson
I recognize Keiser's book as "Antique Automotive Collectibles" by the late Jack Martells, a great ref. for badges, early hub caps, hood ornaments and the like. It has everything. His quest was insatiable. He was peddling his book at "Carlisle PA" about 1981 I purchased a copy and he purchased a NOS brass cap off my table. keiser31
drwatson is correct. Copyright 1980. ISBN 0-8092-7205-9. It is a GREAT book even though I have found some incorrect information here and there in it.
