Guest AlK
I have 3 engines, actually 4 but the complete 374 I am going to keep for a while until I see how mine works out.1: a 1953 288 c.i. straight 8. complete and ready to drop in. Asking $250/B.O.2: a 1940 straight 8 $150/B.O.3: a rebuilt 374 semi-complete engine. no intake, carb, gen. etc. There is a welded up makeshift very deep oil pan with it but I don't know that is fits. Make Offer.Delivery to within 1 days drive from Atlanta can be arranged for expenses. Otherwise come and get them.
1Piece@aTime
Howdy, Does the 288 run? How many miles are on it? Was it rebuilt? Does it come with a tranny and if not, do you have one?
Guest AlK
Howdy Back at ya:I don't know if it runs. I got it on an engine stand and the guy I bought it from got it the same way. However I would take a chance on it if I had a car to put it in. The carb looks to have been rebuilt, and it has fresh oil in it and it turns over by hand. Have no idea on the mileage. no Tranny and don't have one.
1Piece@aTime
Ok. Is it just a motor or does it come with anything else -- generator/alt, starter, rad, etc?BTW, changed username from "greasy"....Dad and girlfriend said that it didn't sound trusting. Thanks,JP
