Looking For...... NEW ENGLAND AUTO LISTS...Any Ideas ?

Dear Fellow Carnuts,

I am trying to find ...... NEW ENGLAND AUTO LISTS

These were put out by states in the teens to twenties

and contained listings by ordered by number plate

of all cars registered in that particular state.

Usually included Year Make Horsepower Serial No.

and Owners name and address?

Once upon a time a few Connecticutt ones came up on EBAY

but have not seen any since. Does any one know of Histoeical Societies or Libraries Maintaing these ?

Would love to purchase even photocopies

Unfortunately I do not have any. I wish I did. I collect license plates and the historian in me would love to know where, who, and what more of them were registered to.

Do you have any books you would be willing to share info from if I send you the year, state and numbers?

I had a 1919 Connecticut suppliment that I went through years ago to find all the cars in town. Helped paint a nice picture of what life was like back then.

Just wondering what was the last year that these were printed?
