Guest My TC Toy
Last Thursday a helicopter serving the offshore oil fields off Newfoundland and Labrador crashed into the frigid north Atlantic waters killing all but one soul aboard. A total of 15 oil workers and two crew perished. To this time only one man has been found alive and only two bodies have been recovered. This adds to a long list of naval disasters through the history of this province. The last large one being the sinking of the semi-submersable oil rig, the Ocean Ranger in 1982, when all 84 men aboard were lost and most bodies not recovered. My grandfather was involved in the rescue of 47 sealers in the great sealing disaster of 1914.I request your prayers for the survivor and the families of all those who lost their lives at this time, and your indulgence for posting this in our thread.
