Peter Gariepy
I am trying to identify the car in this photo and need help. I have looked at/looked up everything I can find but cannot come to anything definitive. I thought possibly a 1935 Dodge, however, the hood ornament doesn't appear to be a ram.Can you help? West Peterson
From the angle shown, straight on front view, the 1935 models had a split windshield, front-opening doors, and totally different grille. This one obviously has front-hinged doors and a once-piece windshield.
Manuel
35's are completely different Ken.Manuel in Oz
KenGaidos
Well, maybe your right, that's why I asked,I don't know. However,I beg to differ. The '35 did not have a split windshield. At least the ones I pulled up on the internet didn't.And,the grille on the one's I pulled up look like this one except they did not have the crank hole at the bottom.Google 1935 Oldsmobile and you'll see what I was looking at. Ken P.S.The photo West Peterson shows looks closest, but his pic doesn't show the whole frtend.Since my photo is straight on,it's hard to tell, but the grille looks like it is straight up and down like the '32Ford. CarlLaFong
I Googled 53 Olds. Here is one of many pictures that came up. The grill is completely different from the car pictured in the first post. http://images.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://www.chooseyouritem.com/classics/photos/280500/280828.1935.Oldsmobile.F.2-Door.Business.Coupe.jpg&imgrefurl=http://www.chooseyouritem.com/classics/files/280500/280828.html&usg=__LV4pP09Rz46eKj-hX00Iul9apcQ=&h=333&w=424&sz=20&hl=en&start=1&um=1&tbnid=pP3PVIkOuN1beM:&tbnh=99&tbnw=126&prev=/images%3Fq%3D1935%2Boldsmobile%26um%3D1%26hl%3Den%26rls%3Dcom.microsoft:*:IE-SearchBox%26rlz%3D1I7DMUS%26sa%3DN

I have to admit, I even have a subscription to Rodders Journal, thanks to a certain AACA Forum moderator who even has an e-mail address that goes something like hotrod32. I won't mention his name, but it starts with Wayne. Thanks for the photo.
