New Rear Window Motors 83 Riviera Convertible

I had one of the rear window motors on my '84 rebuilt by a local auto electrical firm. Look in your yellow pages for a starter/alternator rebuilder. I think the rebuild cost me about $60.00.

Getting the motor out is a real trick. I had a professional do that part for me; he used a lot of extensions on a rachet, all of which were taped together with masking tape. Something falls off in that narrow space and it's gone for a loooooooong time.

There's a firm in FL that will sell you motors on an exchange basis. They're basically rebuilding cores and selling them for about five times what you can have one rebuilt yourself.
