I need an updraft carb for my 29 pickup. The bolt spread is 2 3/8". Currently I have a leaky Tillotson on the truck and I would like a Carter BB-1, but a Stromberg or Zenith would work also, anything I can get a rebuild kit for. I think the original was a Stromberg but I can't say that for sure. How about it DB club, does anyone have a carb for sale?Harry Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Guest Merchant Xpress Posted January 11, 2009 Share Posted January 11, 2009 It's a four cylinder Plymouth engine. 29 was the first year Chrysler owned the Dodge Bros and could build them using Chrysler parts. They must have figured the trucks would get heavier use than the cars because they added a water pump to the engine.
