Guest BuickFan71
Seeking a clean, dependable model 71 Electra 225. Prefer four door loaded, but open to other possibilities. Thanks!
Centurion
BuickFan1971, how can we contact you if the right car turns up?I'll keep my eyes and ears open. These are terrific cars, and I'm often frustrated because it is difficult to find a suitable buyer when these do turn up in nice shape.

Guest BuickFan71
Hey! Thanks for the information and the help. I plan to buy one of these models whenever I can -- how soon depends on the car I find, the price, etc.My e-mail is buickfan79@yahoo.comIf you have leads, please feel free to send them. I do appreciate your help with this search! I think the 71 model Electra is beautiful, and it has a special sentimental (childhood nostalgia) feel for me, too. Guest BuickFan71
My dream 71 Electra 225 would be a forest green with white vinyl top, loaded, four door model. That car was the most elegant car to me when new --- and the same model, an Electra Custom, with the rosewood brown and white vinyl top. Like that one as well! Centurion
BuickFan71, that dark green color was actually known as Verdemist Green for '71. I agree -- it's a beautiful color. The first new '71 Buick I saw first-hand was a Rosewood Electra 225 Custom 4-door hardtop with the dark brown vinyl roof. The car was stunning, but the dealership refused to sell it for a full-price cash offer during the fall, 1970 UAW strike. The Rosewood '71's seem particularly scarce, but it is a beautiful color. Centurion
May I suggest that you also consider joining Adam Martin's discussion forum for the 1971 - 1973 Buick Centurions, since many of the regular members are aware of early-1970's LeSabres and Electra 225's as well? It would be worthwhile to post there regarding the Buick you're looking for.http://www.buickcenturion.com/forums/
Guest BuickFan71
Thanks for the information. I knew that dark green color was probably not forest green, but that was the way I always described it. LOLI will post on the suggested forum as well. Thank you so much! imported_75RivGS
Although a 72, it is green and has a white vinyl top : you probably wouldn't find it with only "Buick Electra" as search option there green Electra on eBay
Centurion
Rob, that car is quite interesting. If it is finished in its original color combination, then the original buyer ordered (at extra cost) an exclusive and beautiful Riviera color -- Emerald Mist. I have seen one other '72 Electra 225 ordered in this color.
imported_75RivGS
It is definately a beautiful color. Didn't notice that color was one of the 4 Riviera only colors that year.Unfortunately the price is a bit too much for me...I'm in the market for a 71-76 (with 73 the les preferable) So any leads (besides eBay and CL, whitch I'm checking out at least twice a day) are very welcome.
