Desertexplorer
Recently purchased a 1910 Maxwell and only have rear hubs (no spokes or rims). Need a couple of front hubs and rims (or complete wheels). Also, were the rims the same size 28" front and back? Thanks
Chuck Richardson
For 1910, the model:AA 28x3Q series 30x3½E & G 34x4
Desertexplorer
Thanks for the rim size, looks like I'll be on the hunt for some 28" rims. I'm missing a few other parts also, including some of the frame hardware... Any spare 1910 parts out there? rustaholic@lycos.comThanks!
Lozierman
I think you are wrong on the size of rims you might need. As I understand, the size of the rim is determined b doubling the width of the tire and subtracting this amount from the diameter of the tire, thus a tire of size 34X4 would require a 26" rim. 30X3.5 would use a 23" rim. etc.Can anyone else add or modify my post? Chuck Richardson
That is my understanding too. 28x3 means 22" rim. That is what I measure on my AB. BTW, Maxwells used the same size wheels front and rear for each model.
Desertexplorer
I guess I'll be on the hunt for some 22" rims (28x3). Thanks for the info. guys!I'm also in need of a gas tank... any condition. I can use one as a pattern if it's in tough shape. Thanks
