Oldsfan
I'm guessing '62 Cadillac cornering lamp.

The radius of the curved diagonal section of the lens is too tight to be for a wheel well. It's probably for matching to a headlight. Also I think the lens may be photographed upside down. Most lights I'm familiar with would mount the bulb up from the bottom, not down from the top. If this is the case the diagonal section is slanted the wrong way for a wheel well, and it couldn't be a cornering light. Are there any markings at all on the lens? If it's a genuine GM product there will be a part # on there somewhere, along with the "Guide" brand name. At any rate there should be a number preceded by "SAE" which will at least give the first year of DOT approval for the lens.
keiser31
I think that the 1962 Cadillac guess is exactly what it is. Notice the tight curve at the rear of the wheel well opening? Looks the same.

Dave@Moon
Here's a link to a better photo of the 1962 lens. They do appear identical (even in the umber of striations), but I'm very surprised that a light located in a wheel-well would have the bulb mounted from above like this. The water hitting that seal must be tremendous at times!
Guest imported_cadlights
I've worked on many 62's and the light is mounted on the top. The splash shields protected it quite well and it had a good seal.
