Hi again.I think I did a mistake when i used Mimie 1956s post,so here i am with my own.

I bought the car in 1995 here in Sweden, the car was imported from Idaho the same year. The car had not been used since 1969 and was in bad condition.I worked about four years with restoring my Buick, almost every evening, weekend and holiday. In 1999 I finished the restoring, and are using the car every summer.Yesterday it snowed here so i think it`s time to garage my car (s).Some pictures before and after.

Leif in Sweden.

A truly gorgeous car Leif. Thanks for finally posting it here in the Me and My Buick Forum. You have posted a lot before (with some very valuable information by the way) and I have always wondered what vehicle you had, now we see. And it is spectacular. Very nice restoration. Is that the original color? Would love to see more pictures of the restoration. Thanks for sharing. smile.gif

Hi Leif,

Congratulations !! What nice work !

I love your Buick and the color

Bhigdog..

Yes..we do not have many junk yard in EU specilazed in US cars it is very hard to find and when we find a parts we need, thru Ebay or directly thru the website of the junk yard, they do not want to ship to international frown.gif or they do not reply to the email sended..it is a big problem for the classic car guys in Europe, me I speak a little english and I do of my best, but I think about the man who do not speak english..it is for this reason that we have a good club in France (ACCF) and we do all we can for our members..

I find some month ago this website ACCESS USA but it is expensive...how to do ?! I do not know, sometine I'm very disappointed about some sellers.

Luckly CARS and Bob's Automobilia are working for ours Buick...Thank to them wink.gif

Thank for all these nice word about my 1956 Buick.

I think all of you how are looking at this site and are restoring old cars do the best after your own knowledge.

Of coarse I have had some problem to find parts here in Sweden, but I have been lucky I have found a lot, as Bhigdog sad it can`t be many junk gards in Sweden with old Buicks, you are right.

But when I was "younger" I lived in a small village with 1900 citizens,a bussinesman had a 1954 Buick 4dr,another one had a 1956 Buick 2dr Ht and a layer had a 1955 Buick Roadmaster 4dr.at the same time.I think we have had a lot of US-cars here in Sweden in 1940s-1950s.

Mr Earl you asked about more restauration pictures and here are a few more. And of course the color is as 1956.

Leif in Sweden.
