jerry whitfield
hi16" x 1.5", someone thought this pair was for 55 plymouth belvedere but I cant see that on any pictures of 55 belvederes.I am confident it is a "forward look" Chrysler part. thanks for your time and help. Know anyplace I can go on internet with the parts numbers listed and identified for each year of forward look parts?the second photo shows part #1593435 which measures 16.25" x 1.5" or 2.5" including the V. Someone thought it was fror 55 plymouth belvedere but I cant see it on any picture of 55 belvedere.thanks for your time and help, jerry whitfield in North Carolina
drwatson
#1593435 with the "V" goes on the rear qtr of a 4-dr 55 Belvedere. Do the other 2 parts have part numbers?
Jim Rohn
Here is a great link that allows you to plug in the Mopar part number and get an answer:http://lightningjar.com/decoders/partnumbers/index.php
Dave@Moon
The Plymouth and DeSoto Story (by Don Butler) says that the V in the emblem indicated a V8. The other emblem you had is for a 6 cylinder 1955 Belvedere. (Both are for cars without the 2-tone side trim.)The same book says that not all single-tone '55 Belvederes got these emblems, and in fact shows a V8 w/o it. That may be why it's hard to find a picture of them.
