1975 and 1976 were some of my favorites. I ordered a '76 and when it came in I was in a financial crunch so my brother-in-law ended up with it. Four door, black with blue velour, all options....beautiful car.

This is a fabulous collection.

As you can see, I'm new to this site, and I'm just discovering alot of treasures in these forums. Seeing that many '76 Electras together reminds me of a notorious train derailment 32 years ago.

In mid June, 1976, a C&O frieght train hauling a string of brand new Buick B-bodies, most of them Electras, jumped the track in my hometown (Watervliet, Michigan).

At least ten rail cars left the track and careened into whatever was in the way. Two or three of them tipped over, and there was alot of new Buicks smashed in the process. It was the biggest specticle in that town for a long time. It happened right at the main street crossing, and crowds of people hung around to watch the clean-up operation for the next few days.

I took a dozen photos with a 110 camera. They're long gone, but it would be so interesting to see them today.
