Unique 1941 Plymouth Kauai-Wowie

I would imagine with it's cabana-car look, that maybe it was purpose-built for a hotel or plantation or the like. Perhaps as a shooting brake by/for the Maharaja of Bungicord? 'Cause that seems to be what's holding it together. Kidding!

Seriously, it's unique enough to have garnered some publicity on the islands, so I'd start with historical societies' image archives, or query old locals. Also, you could spend (more than )a few hours at coachbuilt.com looking for Hawaiian builders.

Most intriguing, but not a project for the faint at heart.
