1937hd45
I've had this photo postcard for years, any idea what it is? Great looking car that I can't find a fault with.
Dandy Dave
Just a guess, but could it be a Hupmobile? Dave!
Chris Paulsen
Without checking any books or other photos, I'd say it is a 1911 Buick Model 38. It's the continuation of the Model 16 and 17. Looks like the right radiator (late '11 & '12) used the round emblem. The rivets on the rear fender are a Buick characteristic also.Great photo!Chris
1937hd45
Thanks Chris, The orginal photo is a lot clearer than my photo of it. I never gave Buick a thought, but it does have a lot of features that match photos I've found in a Google search. None of the cars I found have the same fenders, a feature that really makes the car look good, the top is the one item that maket this an outstanding automobile. Dandy Dave
In the "Standard Catalog of Buick" It appears to be a cross between a 1911 model 38 and a 1912 Model 28. The fuel tank looks more like the 1911, but the hood and fenders look more like the 1912 from the photos shown. Dave!
