RivNut
I'm getting my '85 ready to paint and I was wondering what the trick is to removing the rain gutter molding. Any special tools needed? Are there any other trim pieces that are tricky? I'm changing color so I need to remove as much as possible and I also don't want to leave any paint edges if I don't have to.Thanks,Ed
Guest Gee_Rydes
Ed, I don't know if there is a special tool, but I have always had good luck with a 3 inch non-flexible putty knife. Put underneath moulding (knife facing up) and gently pry out a quarter inch or so. Once it gets beyond the little ridge underneath, the rest can be gently worked out. But don't let it snap back in or you have to start over. You may already know this and are only asking about a special tool. If so, disregard my rant
