hi, have found an old pierce arrow truck chassis, it has duall rear solids, looks about 3 ton size, wheelbase approx 4 metres has a handbrake setup close to front of chassis, could this be a forward control model? the only i/d tag i could find is a patent tag on the top of the diff [ sept 17th 1918] so is obviously later than this date' rear wheel size is 36x5 and cast steel spokes are fairly wide and flat, there is also a gearbox but do not no if it is correct one, as it has a small compressor built into it so could be of a much later truck? would make an interesting project as ther is still a lot of old truck bits lying around down here, hopefully someone can help. thanks, i have been told this may be a x model 3 1/2 tonner which were bonneted,if so does any one know what type or make engine it would of had?

thanks for info, i'll try and post a photo soon, since looking for bits i have found the front wheels, and are 99% sure the gearbox is correct, I do have a contact in california who brings in a couple of containers each year, and looks after me for freighting items, these trucks were used in quarries in nz and australia so good chance there are other pieces out there. thanks mike
