1937 Plymouth 4 door Weatherstripping

Installing the door weather stripping. Have received from Bernbaum top and bottom pieces (this is all that is listed for this car). Bottom I understand. Top is said to be applied to the body (not the door) and it runs along the top but I am not sure where. The amount of stripping I got will allow me to run it from the top of the upper front door hinge along the underside of the drip rail to the top of the rear door hinge. There is apparently no weatherstripping for the sides of the doors and this seems odd.

If anyone can confirm my thinking or hrelp me on this it would be great
