Willy
Found this in a box of Whippet parts, but not sure if it is for a Whippet - if it is, it would be a later model, possibly a high end (if there was such a thing for Whippets!) The speedometer goes to 80 mph. On the back of the speedo says, " Patented, Made in USA, AC Spark Plug Co, Flint, Mich." On the back of the gas gauge is, "Pat Jan 4,21; Pat June 13,22; Pat July 20,22; Pat Nov. 9,26; Pat July 5,27; Others Pending, 1687, Made in USA". There is also a printed number, "6-8". On the back of the ampere gauge is a printed number, "857148". On the back of the oil gauge is also a printed number, "8583M" (this one was hard to read, so I'm not positive about the M). The missing gauge should be the temperature gauge. Because of the many patent dates, I'm sure this fit many other cars - at least some of the gauges did. Any ideas? Guest GP Gleason
Leif's correct. 1929 Nash....... if the gauge faces are silver it is probably a '29 model 400 Nash. 1929 Nash 6 cyl for sure, though.
