TexRiv_63
Help! The Dynaflow in my 63 has suddenly gone from a moderate and manageable drip - drip leakage at the rear seal to massive leakage from the bellhousing. I had to add 2 1/2 quarts of fluid to bring it up to the bottom of the dipstick cold, and a short drive coated the back of the car with fluid and left a trail into the garage. The trans seems to be working properly (once I filled it up) but the leak is so bad it is not driveable. The car has 92,000 miles and I assume the trans is original though not sure. Has anyone had this happen and if so what had to be done to fix it? Also, I live in McKinney Texas, can anyone recommend a shop in the Dallas / Plano / McKinney area that could work on an antique like this? I will have to have it towed wherever I get it serviced and I would love to avoid a horror story. Any help will be greatly appreciated!
