PA Dutch Region Auction- March 31, 2007

Has anyone attended this event in the past? What is it like, and is it worthwhile to attend? Thanks.

Fun day! Some great bargains. The stuff sells and people keep coming back year after year. Items can go for good prices but most of the stuff is real reasonable. Nothing over priced. I think a lot of seasoned fle market vendors come and buy for resale. This year you can bid on the AACA "outhouse" something you really need..small vending trailer on wheels. Also the PA Dutch Region has food on site and you can visit the museum at the same time.

W., I think he means, and this is just a guess, an outbuilding rather than an outhouse. We have both in W. Now that we've had fun with Steve and managed to get on his "kitchen duty" list <img src="http://forums.aaca.org/images/graemlins/blush.gif" alt="" />.......

.... might I recommend that a local region could use the "outhouse" for their own registration "booth" or even as a "vending station" of their own on their annual car show date. Something to think about before the auction.

The Northern Neck Region will <span style="font-weight: bold">not</span> be competing for this auction item. Yes, there is a car corral and world famous shoe fly pie that is sold there. However, I will be partaking of the sloppy joe sandwiches and chocolate cake made by Peggy here in the office. Probably find some piece of something I do not need to buy as well.

Rick, I just tryed to call Charley about the auction, no ans..Left a message, Do you know what the car corall might normaly have for sale?? Looking for something fair to nice 12-14000 range.

I don't know what is listed for this year in the corral, but Charley certainly would. I'd try him again. The corral does vary from year to year, but that price range seems the norm.

Rick Charley did call me back,but said he didnt know what or how many cars might be there. I appreiate his call back ,but having never been to that show no way was I willing to drive 400 miles round trip and thern find out there where not any cars at all. I drove out about an hr. last week. There was supposed to be 8 or 9 cars at this guys house.
