Guest 57wagon
Well. The car arrived. It sure is pink. And needs a LOT of work. Needs seals, brakes, chrome, paint, glass...but there is no rust! So, here we go:Has anyone found brake drums with lug studs on them? I do not mind the drum brakes, but would like to mount some aluminum wheels on the car. Any recomendations on seat belts? a good deal on gas and a match?Actually, the car is quite solid and will be nice with a few months work. Already located most of the parts that I want to replace. I have also scheduled a time to have the interior redone. So I should be driving full time by June. Anyone out there with a 1957 Buick wagon parts car - drop me a line! Or maybe some driver quality chrome they want to get rid of at a reasonable cost?Any direction will be much appreciated.
The Old Guy
I made studs. Take a 9/16=18 set screw ans turn it to 1/2inch and cut the proper (20)threads. then you can use regular wheel nuts.
Guest 57wagon
Grade 8, right? I will probably get our machine shop locally to re-do them for me. Thanks for the tip!
